Top 5 Places to go mugging for exams in Singapore

Okay so its the exam period and for us Singaporeans, this is the same old ritual.

Most of us stay home and do our mugging ourselves. To make studying less torturous and a little bit more enjoyable, we resort to getting our butts out of the house to study with our friends.

Studying overnight has been trending so I have some midnight mugging recommendations.

So here are 5 popular places we Singaporeans study in:

1. McDonald's

Yes. Any of the 24 hours operating outlets are the favourite mugging spots for students. Settle your dinner here and you can hog the table and study the night away. I remember so many of my mugging days spent in one of these outlets and yes, some outlets are really peaceful in the middle of the night.

Remember to have at least a cup of coke so that you will not be chased away.

2. Changi Airport

I am not even kidding. This is the best and most recommended place to do your studying and let me explain why.

First, Popeyes. Who doesn't like Popeyes Chicken? There is a 24 hours Popeyes in the airport and I enjoyed studying there.

Second (the most important factor), if you have no driving license and you don't own a car, once its past 12 midnight, you are stranded. Stranded in the airport. You will have nothing better to do than to force yourself to study! Unless you are willing to pay the crazily inflated taxi fare to go home, of course.

3. The Library

Its a place filled with knowledge and books! Where else to go but the library right?

The library is where you can enjoy total silence (seriously, its really quiet). You have library police there you know? The ones who maintain the quietness in the library?

However, do take note that the tables are always occupied and rarely available. Somehow, there will be these people who are one step ahead of you to grab that available seat. So, if you really want to study in the library, work for it; GO EARLY.

4. Your Friend's House

This one is really subjective but let me give you some tips as to which friend's house do you exactly go to? Of course, your best friend who happens to be taking the same papers as you!

Sure, there will be all the distractions in that room you guys are studying in. BUT, you guys will have that same sense of urgency to cramp all the necessary information into your heads. Test one another topic by topic and see if you guys can remember all the points in them. Rest assured, they got your back!

*A match of FIFA 14 on the PlayStation in the middle of mugging is healthy.

5. Home Sweet Home

Ultimately, If you really don't want to step out of your house, home is still one of the most ideal places to study. Lock the door and shut yourself in the room and start mugging!

For the lucky ones, you have your maid serving you snacks and drinks during you breaks. For the not so fortunate ones, well, you have your parents or even younger siblings to bully. For the least fortunate, you still have your own hands!
